Bio
Alex Abramson’s research focuses on drug delivery and bioelectronic therapeutics. The Abramson Lab develops ingestible, implantable, and wearable robotic therapeutic devices designed to address key healthcare challenges and produce measurable therapeutic outcomes. His translational research spans drug delivery devices that improve medication adherence, soft materials for bioelectronic sensors and therapeutics, and technologies for preclinical drug screening.
Dr. Abramson is passionate about translating scientific discoveries from the laboratory to clinical applications. Large pharmaceutical companies have exclusively licensed a portfolio of his patents for development in clinical trials, and he serves as a scientific advisor supporting their commercialization. He is also actively involved in his community through diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and by volunteering as a STEM tutor for local students.
