Bio

Matthew Y. Sfeir is the Georgia Power Chair in Energy Efficiency with appointments in the Schools of Chemistry and Biochemistry and Materials Science and Engineering at Georgia Tech. His research focuses on macromolecular and nanoscale materials with unconventional functional properties for sustainable energy technologies. He has published more than 150 scientific papers and is also recognized for his commitment to science communication and mentorship, helping researchers effectively communicate complex scientific ideas.
